Machinery equipment for the production of rims

The machinery equipment consisting of the vertical spinning machine VFD 1010 and the vertical edge treating machine VRB 500 is excellently suited for the production of steel and aluminium rims from a welded banding. In order to achieve shortest cycle times the forming work within the machinery equipment is distributed to the two machines as follows:

  • Spinning machine VFD 1010 spinning the rim contour
  • Edge treating machine VRB 500 expanding and curling the rim edge

  • Compression of the material surface and simultaneous increase of the material strength through the spinning process

  • Excellent concentricity tolerances of the rim, partly by fixing the wheel disk in the rim profile during the spinning process
